Lemon Buttercream Icing

This buttercream has the right amount of tangy and sweetness. It is easy to make, and you will not be dissapointed!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon extract (not oil)
  • zest of one lemon

Instructions

  • Sift powdered sugar (you can also mix it with an electric mixer to break up clumps instead of sifting).
  • Using an electric mixer, beat the softened butter into the powdered sugar. Mix on low speed until combined.
  • Add the lemon extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Mix on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
